Harry Coumnas’ Views on the Origin and End of Life on Earth

The evolution of life on Earth has always been a topic of debate. Last week, Harry Coumnas, a biology professor in New Zealand’s leading science institute, was in New York to be a part of the annual Science Research Conference that’s held every year in NY to delve deeper into various science mysteries that remain unsolved till date. The key objective of the conference was to seek the valuable opinions of influential personalities from diverse backgrounds on what is life, how it originated on earth, & how it will end.

Through his futuristic ideas and intellectual comments, Harry Coumnas made quite an impression on the conference attendees. On being asked about his opinion on the origin of life on earth, he said, “According to what I’ve studied and researched so far, the Earth evolved as a result of the accretion of the solar system. In fact, all other planets of the solar system, comets, asteroids, meteors, and even the sun were formed because of matter's tendency to clump together. The evolution of earth, however, is believed to be more violent owing to its greater force of gravitation.”

Talking about how life on earth might end, Harry Coumnas explained every detail of his answer just like a professor. He said that though there are a number of factors which may lead to the end of life on Earth; it is Global Warming that he sees as the gravest threat. He shared some eye-opening facts on how in the last few years, Earth has been warming to a degree that’s beyond what most species can live with. Further, he also suggested some actions which must be taken in order to save various species that are threatened by the effects of global warming.
